Even simplier would be, assuming the PC has USB port(s) and is at least a Pentium 133, installing Windows 98 (98SE better), downloading USB Mass Storage Device Drivers for Windows 98 / 98SE and copying all files from any size USB stick to wherever you need them to. My 2GB USB stick works like charm on older Pentium II-400 with Win 98SE for any transfers.
You can always tweak the Windows 98's included Dos (config.sys, autoexec.bat and drivers) just like any other Dos, so there shouldn't be any problem.
