I celebrate Hanukkah... its also a gift-giving holiday only you get (or are supposed to get) gifts each day, for 8 days long.

Sadly this year it falls during the exams. So my parents bought me a very expensive pen as a sort of good omen

Other than that I'm hoping I'll get a new computer soon (dad promised me one) since the only thing I can do on this computer is use internet and play a few old games. If I try to play anything else my computer simply reboots.

It is right now, but it sure wasn't when I was young.
I am not sure of your age. But it wasn't like this when I was young either. I am really going to try and stress what IS important to my kids.

Get something?
I guess I'll get a week off work because it's a holiday (but I'm not too sure).

Nice too see so many people get so many things though!

Well I'll be getting a new bowling ball. But other than that I don't really care. Maybe a new book or two.

SqualidAngel: I'm 23. But the real reason why it wasn't like that in my young days is because we were rather poor and had no money to invest in incredibly costly presents. This did not stop us from enjoying what Christmas is really about.

This "trend" of us continued up to today. I don't give gifts to my Father because I dislike him a lot, and on my mother side (they are not together anymore) we have a gift exchange... With a cap limit of 20 to 25$. k:

I don't expect to receive much more. At least we gave up choices when we picked up the names and I'll hopefully get something I really want.

I'm not a big fan of christmas, but my family loves them, so I sorta get dragged in it all.

I would like bigger HDD, more RAM, MP3 (which I'll probably get from my sister for birthday present), and the book "Angels and Devils" by Dan Brown (I hope it's the name of it in English  )

:xmas:

Angels and D|emons is an exellent book, not as good as The Da Vince Code but still well worth reading.
