SqualidAngel: I'm 23. But the real reason why it wasn't like that in my young days is because we were rather poor and had no money to invest in incredibly costly presents. This did not stop us from enjoying what Christmas is really about.
This "trend" of us continued up to today. I don't give gifts to my Father because I dislike him a lot, and on my mother side (they are not together anymore) we have a gift exchange... With a cap limit of 20 to 25$.
