![]() We are talking about a lot of old strategy games, RPGs and so on.
Nobody ever mentions old sport games. Is this the only genre old games are not worth playing because the newer ones are always better? (FIFA series, NBA Live 2001, 2003,...) |

![]() I usually never play sport games, but I remember some really fun sportsgames, from the old days.
Summergames, wintergames, sensible soccer, a bunch of really entertaining boxing games. And not to forget international karate!!! that is the ultimate karate game

![]() I just found out that my favourite basketball game of all time was made for DOS.
GBA Championship Basketball: Two-on-Two Now, I don't know where you can find it, but if you do, please let me know :-) I don't know if the DOS version is any good but the Atari ST, Amstrad 464 and Spectrum versions that I have played were WONDERFUL! |

![]() My favorite sport game is One on One for C64.
Well I guess most of the people here aren't really big sport game fans. Most old sport games were amusing, but were somewhat limited in the actions you do. Most of them usually consisted of quickly pressing/moving left/right to gain speed and then some throws, jumps and so on. There were some good footballs, but mostly you just had a top down view and the controls were not the best. I can't tell you if those games were better or worse compared to new sport games, because the latest sports game I played (apart from fighting sports like wrestling) dates back to 1994. |
