I found some very good sites featuring a good collection of DOS utilities list. Altough there´re some very simple and small programs, but is a good source for people searching for good DOS related information.
Enjoy  k: Steen´s DOS page Oldskool PC Some batch utilities (more technicall) Custom and original boot disks Interesting DOS programs (MP3, MPEG and DIVx in a DOS machine? Excellent) USB drivers for...DOS Arachne. Web browser for DOS machines...it works I tested it some time ago F-Prot antivirus for DOS. A DOS based system is a virus free environment, but it´s good to have a modern antivirus for it. Last but no least, is FREE |

Pkzip / Pkunzip packing utility RAR, another packaging tool So that's it for packaging programs, more tools will follow. |

always glad to be of help.
oh, and if you are looking for games that fit on a single diskette, here are two shareware Sites: The first one, with a long list of games smaller than 50 KB, very useful for my old 286  Second one, they have more serious games (as opposed to fan-made games) (Note to the Admins: I don't want to advertise for other sites, i looove abandonia:bleh  |

And, btw, i also had the idea of a pure dos user thread. that's why i started that poll dos or dosbox. here's some other links: Dos Command Center, some say it's even better than NC A very good CD-Player for DOS Diskcopy program, supports about 23 formats DIARY, an electronic diary program More will follow later... |

Another nice "museum", but mainly for videogames:
Vidgame.net And some DOS-related stuff: The FreeDOS Project All the DOS commands, very helpful Who needs M$-D0$, anyway? Hope to be of help. Why don't you other people share a few URLs and/or tips with us? |
