Default [Scatty] Yendorian Tales

I played this old DOS game ages ago but can't remember the name, though I have browsed several titles in abandonware sites.
It starts with the choice of three or four characters (wizard, knight, whatever heh...), including the gender, weapons and clothing.

The characters move over the screen in a square-by-square patter. I don't know whether it is classified as RPG or adventure, but the first quest is to find some kind of orb. As the game progresses, the characters fight several beasts including dragons, wyverns and even giant Cyclopes. When facing the cyclopes, you get hit when they step into the ground (kinda funny heh). I remember the names of some cities (e.g. Devon, which is inhabited by ghosts, and New Devon, where the people currently live).

I also remember that there are parts II and III for this game, but in third-person gameplay.

Information seems kinda vague, but I am sure that some archaeologist can help me

Thanks in advance.
