The left two images are from an Outer Limits episode called 'A Stitch in Time' (aired 01/14/01996). It's about some vengeful lady who uses inter-dimensional jumps to travel back and forth through time to execute current day convicted women killers before they commit the crime in the past.

The third image, on the right, is the oh-so-popular game Portal (released 10/09/2007), which you should be familiar with.

I don't think there should be any kind of 'Chicken and Egg' guessing game about which one came first. They didn't even change the color scheme.

Probably it wasn't The Outer Limits either who invented the sci-fi concept of inter-dimensional portal, or even the image now popularly associated with it.

I am not trying to approach a philosophic on thought, because you or I probably did not originate thought (I did file for a patent though.. I mean the 'insane' thing, not the multi-verse, inter-dimensional portal travel thing).
