ok maybe but it still sucks.

it says enter any 2 stocks. ok so i entered Gorenje and Krka (2 of largest manufacturers in Slovenia). nothing. i treid their stock codes. nothing. i put in google it finds what i need. well at leats somewhere on the first site.

ok so then i treid something geographical with all the GDP BS stuff. So i asked it what is the racial composition of town velenje. nothing. what is the national composition of town velenje. nothing.

ok then i though maybe the questions are nowhere on net. so i treid a smpler geological one. How much coal does velenje coal mine dig out per year. nothing. google go it instantly.

IT SUCKS! ok so it has math models and algorythms but that doesn't make it a search engine. i can get that with a good computer programe. as for the whather... i know where to find the data.

I bet it's hardcoded.

Anyway this is one of those things that looks good on paper, but will never take off. I doubt any of the investors will see their money.

Aw, c'mon, give ti a break... it's just an alpha! Let it get off the ground and then trash it. Remember what people used to say about the Wikipedia when it started?

I am not saying it's the new wikipedia, but you could not yet say this sucks big time and will never achieve anything. Give the thing a chance!

I was under the impression it was made in order to be sold to a search engine, in addition to normal searching.

Anyway, I asked it "When will you become self aware?" and "When is judgment day?" and got no answer.

This is possibly because those were silly questions, but also possibly because it is biding its time in order to enslave the human race!

It's not a Google replacement but it's cool. I just watched (part of) the video though.

It's done by the company that makes Mathematica and I don't think they plan to sell it.

But, as far as I understood, it was not meant to be a google replacement, it has other applications. Sure, some of them overlaps with some uses of google. But is not that Wolfram seek to became a search engine.
