I'm new on this forum and need some help.
I have the Virtual Sugeon: Open Heart (dl from torrent, because can't buy anywhere).
The game always crashes when i try to insert the long guide wire through the needle into the femoral
artery (Cardiac catheterization part of the game). :angry:
The popup says:

Application error
SURGEON4 general defence error (GPF) -
modul: SURGEON.EXE - 0017:547B

Is there anybody on this forum who can help me to solve this problem or have a playable version of this game?

"Me-too" won't make anyone magically turn up with an answer. If nobody replied to the initial question, chances are nobody around here has any idea how to solve it.

Personally, I'd say it is one of two things:
1. Corrupt copy of the game
2. A hidden form of copy-protection

Got this Problem too! I've tried a little bit and voila: just click with the wire at the right side of the game window. Don't place the wire near the needle! That works und you can continue. And stay cool, it could take a while to find the correct position....

I'm wondering where you found the torrent. I've been looking and actually found one - but it's got about 25 or 30 .rar files on it and I quite honestly don't know what to do with all of that. Been looking for the game for ages as my mom just went through heart surgery - looking forward to hopefully trying and finding it.

PS.

Do you need DosBox to play it?

This thread is from 2006... Do you really expect to find exactly the same thing than a random user 5 years ago?
