I'm currently looking for 1-x person(s) who, unlike me, know a thing or two about programming. The idea is simple: Having an external num pad greatly improves accessability for those crucial keys/combinations in [enter your favourite game]. For this to have any point, the software must allow you to program the num pad just as you would program your joystick. It must also be able to seperate the external num pad from the internal. Furthermore, it should differentiate between num lock on/off. Also, since this num pad is most likely to be a USB unit, it should distinguish between several connected units.

I know that there are pads out there with software, but they are
1. Expensive. The num pad I got was cheap
2. Mostly designed for 'that' particular game

I ran a test, using the pad on several 3d games were the game allowed me to remap. And I found it promising. Now, I believe that with a good sw, many games can be enjoyed at a different level alltogether. Interested, or do you have any other ideas concerning this?
