![]() I used to love this game-- my favorite scoring technique was to run the ball up to the center scoring cone on my opponent's side (or whatever it is), get very close to the cone and throw hard into it. keep holding the button for max strength on the throw, and run with the ball all the way to the goalie, slide tackle him, and throw the ball in for a score.
someone mentioned earlier-- grab as many coins as you can, double your points by using the circular thing on the left/right. The stars don't double your score, they just give points as long as they are lit, or if you light them all-- but it takes too long trying to illuminate them all, and you're bound to get ganked trying. get guys that are fast. I remember early on Quiss or something like that is a great forward. |

![]() There are only 3 games is miss from my old Amiga (Projectyle, Speedball 2 , F-29). Projectyle is still my favorite with Speedball 2 a very close second. This is a great game!!!. Now i just need Projectyle and F-29 to be in video game bliss

![]() I've just got this game on my phone, but it's got this odd start stop controls but brought back memories so i've got it working with dosbox, awesome game.
One way to score massive points - 100 or so is to get the ball through the loop de loop thingy and then curl the ball into the warp by throwing it along the sideline from above. So if you are playing up the screen go to the top right warp, go above it and throw the ball with curl into the warp, it hits all the stars and gives huge points. |

![]() I've found a quick and dirty solution to the controls issue if you're running SB2 in DOSBox using keyboard controls. When you've opened your DOSBox session, press CTRL+F1 to initiate the KeyMapper. Its a bit daunting at first but you can use the mouse to navigate the keymapper screen.
Simply ADD the following keybindings: Make "Q" also = the UP arrow (or click on the Q key, click ADD near the bottom of the screen and press the UP arrow, for example) Make "A" also = the DOWN arrow Make "O" also = the LEFT arrow Make "P" also = the RIGHT arrow Just click the SAVE button when you're done. Essentially, Q and UP perform the same actions and so on. Simply remove the key bindings when yer done. If you'd rather use W, A, S, D where W = UP, A = LEFT, S = DOWN and D = RIGHT, then go for it! Choose whatever keys suit you. Alternatively, use WinUAE - the Amiga emulator. That is a fantastic emulator! Wow, playing SB2 again brings back some fond memories for sure1 |
