I've found a quick and dirty solution to the controls issue if you're running SB2 in DOSBox using keyboard controls. When you've opened your DOSBox session, press CTRL+F1 to initiate the KeyMapper. Its a bit daunting at first but you can use the mouse to navigate the keymapper screen.
Simply ADD the following keybindings:
Make "Q" also = the UP arrow (or click on the Q key, click ADD near the bottom of the screen and press the UP arrow, for example)
Make "A" also = the DOWN arrow
Make "O" also = the LEFT arrow
Make "P" also = the RIGHT arrow
Just click the SAVE button when you're done.
Essentially, Q and UP perform the same actions and so on. Simply remove the key bindings when yer done.
If you'd rather use W, A, S, D where W = UP, A = LEFT, S = DOWN and D = RIGHT, then go for it! Choose whatever keys suit you.
Alternatively, use WinUAE - the Amiga emulator. That is a fantastic emulator!
Wow, playing SB2 again brings back some fond memories for sure1
