![]() Thats good my orignal bios was not on the motherboards website so I used the updater which was in windows to backup the old one.

![]() As for the soundcard, try finding a couple versions of the drivers.
DOS 7.1 has drivers for all the soundcards you need. As for the CD-boot, try finding a different version of the BIOS. Make absolutely sure it's compatibile with your machine and from the same manufacturer as your current one. What would you want to use the CD boot function for, though? Some OS'es (DOS 7.1, for example) have a boot floppy and an install CD. This combo works quite well, too - my current oldschool unit doesn't boot some OS'es from CD (oddly, this seems to apply only to Linux-based ones...), and this solution worked for me. |

![]() I never liked DOS 7.10. It looked too much like Windows.
Are there any options to get it to "look" like 6.22? Like disabling LFN and modifying the autoexec.bat and config.sys files`? |

![]() You can boot the system from the floppy and then install from the CD, too. Just in case your machine doesn't support booting from CD's or - like mine - freaks out when trying to do it.
