lucas has been suffering from "old has-been" syndrome for years.

i dont consider star wars to be worthy of being called 'sci fi' except in the vaguest definition.
he started by screwing around with the original star wars.
i suppose at least with the 3 new star wars movies its kept him from screwing around with the old ones even more. not that im a huge fan of them.. but damn!! leave them alone!
really, if you look at the current trend in hollywood to remake movies that arent that old anyway, they will probably remake star wars, with christina aguilera as lea, and jack osbourne as luke.
phantom menace = oh my eyes. jar jar? pointless racing?
attack of the clones = a bit better. but ninja yoda was groan worthy.
whatever the 3rd one is = noone cares anymore. we know what happens. it will be cheese.
... although im DYING to find out how darth vader forgets by ep iv that he built c3po with his own hands
