One more trick, which worked in Dark Sides of Xeen also but no in Isles of Terra.
We meet very strong opp.
We are wounded and weak.
Run in another quadrat?

Step back to nearest river (We are swimmers already)..enter it, face the opp and without fear kill it.

My first problem.
I meet 2 Giants, who attack town of Hart from North and the Mayor ask me to save the town.
Unfortunately, even level 13, Giants killed me.
Rats!
Then i was killed by some strong FireWizard.
I used spell Prorection from Fire but not helps.
I do not understand why my 3 Fighters are passive during the battles and in fact i use only 3 Spell casters which reduces my power?
I checked their armors and weapons in the battles, no damaged or broken ones?
Very strange and i do not find the answer.
Maybe You, kind twillight know something about this case?

Well,
after my battle with flu i cont. to play Swords of Xeen.
And, and i did big step ahead..
Yes.
About 98% of living monsters in the game are dead.
Maybe few Minotaurs are still alive, but soon..
I am in the Metal tower (located in the left upper map) with these strange guards = the same in Clouds..
My commands Are 28-32 levels.
I found very easy way to up the levels.
Hmmm... You will meet one very interesting sphinx.
It will ask You 5 riddles.
They are very easy riddles. But...the 4-th riddle...
The correct answer is Secret. But the sphinx is not concordant with this word, but asks for Riddle. DO NOT tell him the correct answer!
As a result a red dragon appeared. Penalty for wrong answer. Ha ha ha.
It is very easy to kill this poor monster. It costs 13.5 K HP.
This way one may up very fast his HP.
Remember: You have to beat monster with special ELDER weapon only.
You have to cast spell Day of Protection (75/10).
I will tell You one word for this cheat: WAR

Sadly, prob. brave is the only gamer of SoX in the Universe.

Еven the only player of SoX in the Universe i will play the game till the end.
Hmmm..in the Space ship i met definitely very strong resistance, namely
- in the first level i met 12 GuardBots V.1 - Easy
then i met 12 GuardBots V.2 - Not so easy but no problem.
Nice.
But in the second level ( i know the levels are 4) i met the same opps and...GuardBots V.3. This version make me very uptight and make me cry.
The last one is very strong or the game creator does not allow me to strike every round but at every 5-th round which is very unfair...
Listen, man: It hits me and i answer after 4 rounds..
No such game or boxing match.
Anyway i knew this is the last crusade here and creators do their best to slow brave..
Well, if one bot of version 3 attacks me, i feel some pressure but at last i am winner.
But they appear to attack me in waves of 3 Bots which is very bad for me because even 33 level i answer very seldom (repeat - this is stupid creator caprice) and loose the battle.
Now i have to use my secret weapon -
V-2, оr Vergeltungswaffe 2 (Secondary weapon for retribution - correct translation from German - True, Master or KMonster?)Glaube - Ja).
If the test is OK, i, being so kind specialist of New World Computing will direct the new players as our good Friend from TX - Usa.

It's long ago since I finished SoX so I don't remember much.

Proper buffing is most important. Find a location where you can gain levels temporarily and cast day of sorcery and day of protection afterwards. Visit other locations which raise your hitpoints, spell points, important physical stats like might, ..., resistance to the kind of damage the monsters are attacking with, ...
Start your buffing tour at 5 am so you have plenty of time before the buffs wear off.

I remember SoX being a little unbalanced (it's a fan-made game) but not too hard. It's definitely shorter than the other games.


MM3 has one big difference, you haven't managed to finish it yet.
