Well, if someone asked if I played something, I used to say no. In your case you made a good choice telling them you play the first part of a famous series. Optionally tell them you play old games that few people know.

Heck, it's a recruiter over the phone? You're not being conscripted right? You don't have to talk to the guy, just treat him like other direct marketing... "thanks, but not interested".
