![]() You need to run it in DOSBox. Check the beginner guide here: http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=14406

![]() ... fast forward to 2013 (whew! we made it) ...
I have the full version w/ speech that will work out of the box. I have submitted a request to upload to abandonia. Let them know if you want to see it. The thread is in the offers forums. If you can't wait, just message me and I'll post a link (since all the other links in this thread have expired or been taken down). |

![]() Sorry if I'm being dense here... I can't seem to GIVE an item.
<<SPOILER ALERT BELOW>> . . . . . I checked a let's play on Youtube and you're supposed to give the statuette to the gentleman thief in order to progress past the edge of the forest. In the let's play, the player was also confused and eventually worked out that you have to double right-click to do this. However, even this doesn't work for me in my Abandonia version run through DOSBox. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? |

![]() edit: nvm, I figured it out. It was obvious: you need to change cycles = auto into cycles = 6000 in the DOSBox options file.

![]() I finally finished this game. Got the walkthrough from Gamefaqs. It isn't a bad game after all. A little bit glitchy though. It took me a short while on how to give stuff to people but I got it right. Too bad there wasn't a sequel.

![]() I have a problem after the start with the fable.exe.
It happens with different sound setting and both with the FD and the CD versions too. I changed the CPU settings of the DOSBOX (to 386 and 486) but it still gives the same error: DOS/4GW error (2001): exception 00h (divide by zero) at 160:00000410 RSF32: prev_tsf32 52A4 SS 168 DS 168 ED 168 FS 0 GS 20 EAX 15E47C00 EBX 238CD0 ECX 1C0F90 EDX 1 ESI 1 EDI 1602F352 EBP 23855A ESP 23741A CS:IP 160:00000410 ID 00 COD 15E47C00 FLG 46 CS= 160, USE32, page granular, limit FFFFFFFF, base 0, acc CF9A SS= 168, USE32, page granular, limit FFFFFFFF, base 0, acc CF92 DS= 168, USE32, page granular, limit FFFFFFFF, base 0, acc CF92 ES= 168, USE32, page granular, limit FFFFFFFF, base 0, acc CF92 FS= 0, USE16, byte granular, limit 0, base 14, acc 0 GS= 20, USE16, byte granular, limit FFFF, base 25C0, acc 93 CR0: PG:0 ET:0 TS:0 EM:0 MP:0 PE:1 CR2: 0 CR3: 0 Crash address (unrelocated) = 2:00000410 |

![]() Maybe CPU too fast? Try setting a fixed cycles count (~10k). Also you can try replacing DOS4GW.EXE with dos32a.exe
