It may also have been called KillerRobots or some such but the .exe was robotvga.

It was a vga dos game (obviously) where you travel one square per turn and the robots, scattered randomly around the board as well, also travel one square per turn. If you step off the edge or into a spot where the tile is missing, you fall through, which looks like your white circle is getting smaller and smaller, and you get a snarky message like "Next time stay on the path, Dorothy!" or "Looks like you zigged when you should have zagged" and there are also electric fence sections or capacitors or some such, on certain tiles, which mean death by electrocution ("Zzzzzzzzzzzzzt!" and I think, but am not certain about "Does something smell like bacon?"), both for you, and any robots that land on them. Your goal is to reach the exit before the robots reach you.

The snarky comments were half the fun. When the robots get you, you get a choice of comments such as "You can start screaming now!" or "I wonder what they will do with those tinsnips?"

Does anyone else remember that game? I seem not to find anything on it, and I know someone somewhere also played it!
