I've seen and understood that the difference is that I have a link, and you open the message.

This is still in concern of editing your own posts in an attempt to prevent double posting.

The test is:

1) Use the "Reply with quote" button () on this post.
2) Instead of posting, you select all text in "Message:" field.
( from [quote to /quote] )
3) And copy it with Ctrl+C
4) Go back to the thread. (So no posting yet)
5) Edit you last post. (the one ABOVE this one, where you've seen and understood the difference )
6) Paste the quote at the end of your post with Ctrl+V
7) Finish editing the the post above THIS post.

All is easy.
