*gone looting* hmm.. seems like they've upgraded the risk to 1 in 45 now... Oh well... still a few more years to go, and the size of it, is not THAT big.. just massive LOCAL dmg. Nothing global.. There are many larger rocks out there to worry about..

well lets see 400 meters across (now say the US decides to send a rocket up with 10 nukes attached say towards the end of next year to blow up near it and simply alter its course - heck 10 nukes could probably vapourise something that size - its technically possible nowdays and they have 24-25 years to worry about it.
Still it might focus a few minds on getting more humans and more money into space exploration and space travel casue as stated there are bigger rocks out there. |
