![]() Ok, reinstalled DOSBox and got the config file open. But I do not see anything like what was posted in previous posts. I can see no area where it addresses drives or the saves. I am sure I am missing something simple, but I just can't seem to get it.

I changed to C:\oldapps. Then changed to C:\ and cd dkk. I will see if that works for the other games as well. Thanks for the help. |

Or, it could be that the game is trying to use certain paths that do not exist when you mount the game's directory as the root. (eg. c:\oldapps\dkk becomes c:\ and so the files wouldn't be in c:\ as they're actually in c:\dkk - if you get that..?) This could account for it not working when you tried to run it with c:\ as c:\oldapps\dkk, as the \oldapps directory wouldn't exist for the purposes of Death Knights. It is recommended that you ALWAYS mount Dosbox's c:\ as c:\oldapps and NOT as c:\oldapps\[game]. A few extra keystrokes - a few extra commands - isn't much to avoid little errors like this. It may be an idea to read the FAQ's on Dosbox: http://www.abandonia.com/node/23854 ![]() Last edited by Saccade; 06-12-2009 at 10:26 AM. Reason: RTFI bar. |

![]() What you are missing is that the previous posts talked about DKK's own config file, not DOSBox' config file.

Rather than simply change the game's cfg file, surely it's easier to change the whole architecture of yr computer |

![]() F? Knight~1? LOL LOL LOL Many old games won'l like being ran from a drive F with no existent drive C, D, E or F. First rename the game directory to DKK. Then: mount C f:\GameTrial C: cd DKK start |

![]() In every RPG from SSI you can delete the *.cfg file. Then start the game. Without the cfg file, the setup starts. There you can choose the graphics, sound, mouse or keybord control and finally the path for the savegames plus the path where to import the characters from previous game.

![]() It is possible that the game has been cracked try just pressing enter when it asks for a word without entering anything.
