Nope. I used the original EXE, I think you can't introduce such features like multiple-unit selection without compiling a new EXE from the source code (which is unavailable).

Any chance of an installer for OS X?

DOSBox has a Mac version, so just run the game and the installer in DOSBox.
Unless the installer was meant for Windows. :x
