Alright, that's a very tough question. I personally *loved* Fallout, KOTOR and Morrowind. They're all very, very good.

But... if I really have to pick.. I'll go with Morrowind because it's so immersive.

if you are willing to count games such as Diablo,
to be roleplaying games.

Diablo is sort of an RPG I guess, but not a true RPG. It has some RPG elements which work well, but it's still an action game (hack 'n slash) to me.
