To be honest, my antidepressant wasn't working. So I'm on two now. Ze fuse vas short, na? Und no one said it vas a joke, or I vould've exploded off-stage.

I'll give you just one example why any form of witchcraft gets my back up: there is a tribal grouping in South Africa who tries to please their ancestral spirits (whom they worship, actually) by taking their little daughters and cutting off the first joint of their little finger. The government does absolutely nothing about it. Anyone who speaks up against it is "imposing western culture" in an "imperialist" manner on innocent Africans. It makes me physically sick. There are several other reasons, up to and including the fact that a charlatan of an acupuncturist almost killed my mother by taking her off her pills and misdiagnosing a chemical imbalance in her blood, "reading" her tongue and saying it was her "liver". Her weight dropped to 45kg in a few weeks. My current doctor diagnosed her in a few seconds, put her on the correct treatment and she was fine in a few days.

In sum? Either they are pretending, they are deluded, or they are something far, far worse. Look at John Edwards. He films about two hours of random "I see the colour red" crap, and then edits the final product right down to 42 minutes or however long his programme is without the commercial breaks. And a lot of it is just suggestion: tall dark strangers and future disappointing events abound, and all it does is manipulate people and make them dependant on outside sources for their decision-making. But in any case, I apologise for the fury. My groundstate was utter fury anyway at the time, and the idea of someone fancying herself as the Pythoness of Apollo struck me as utterly obscene. Still does, but I'm hiding my twitching eyes rather well, currently.
