I never registered, since I visit when I want to listen to some precise category, and then I use the "similar" feature or tags etc. But lately I've ended up listening a lot to surf rock or Link Wray et al.

when you register, you can scrobble all the songs that you listen to on your pc so you have a nice list of stuff that you like. then you will also get better recommendations from last.fm that would suit your taste more

You'll find plenty if you look around. Goldfrapp is fantastic, especially live

IMHO Felt Mountain is the best and most original album by far, but the others are also more than worth checking out!
