Easiest and fasted way to run it:
Install Dosbox 0.72. http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1 Drag/drop shogun.bat on dosbox shortcut. Enjoy. A bit more work: learn to work with dosbox, mount a virtual C and such, read the 'tutorial' stickies.
