i'd give you another hint, read eveyrthing from one file and write into other. in case you hit the time, just replace it with previous one

um, thanks very much, but for some reason it produces an empty .srt file, nothing in it. What could be the problem?

Are you sure you got ran it right ? those < > must be present!

is that space behind the ">" deliberate? Because there is none behind the "<".

This is that I typed:

pb.exe <zeit.srt >fixed.srt

There is no space behind the second mark. Maybe that was the problem. Or some obscure compatibility issue, I dunno.
