The joy of badly worded official sites...

The buy link should be:
http://3drealms.stores.yahoo.net/duknuk3dated.html
Baseline DN3D is no longer sold, nor is the Plutonium Pak add-on.
However, DN3D Atomic Edition incorporates both. As such, both are considered sold.

Default Duke Nukem 3D [GoG] [3DRealms]

Well, we all know that the Duke Nukem 3D is still being sold in its 'Atomic Edition' form, and that Blood has been returned to abandonware status. However, what about the expansion packs for these two games? Are any of these able to pass the Abandonia qualifications test? I know Monolith doesn't sell them, and neither does 3D Realms. I've checked Amazon.com, and the ones that are listed are being sold by third party users in the Amazon Marketplace (not Amazon themselves). I also did searches on CD Access for all of them, and came up empty.

Are the DN3D expansion packs standalone or do they require the main game?
As for Blood expansions, IIRC there is some sort of compilation still sold. Not sure.

even if it wasn't standalo and it requied the main game it wouldn't matter, the packs are not sold, you still have to buy the original and then you somehow need to get the expansion (which is not sold anymore)

All three Duke expansions, and both Blood expansions, need their respective original games to be played. I also looked up Blood: One Unit Whole Blood (the collection you were talking about TFH), and it's only sold by third party sellers in the Amazon Marketplace. CD Access doesn't appear to have it at all.

I also did more research, and found out that WizardWorks Software shut their doors in 2004, and Sunstorm Interactive closed in 2003.

For non-standalone expansions, if the parent game is not safe for AB the expansion is not considered to be either (even if by itself it satisfies the requirements).

Because they require a copy of the parent game to run, and that we cannot offer for d/l.
If we put up the expansion by itself, we'd be bound to get hordes of morons asking where to get the parent game from - or worse, posting links to places it can be obtained illegally from.

So the Duke ones are a no go, but the Blood ones are (possibly) good to go?
