I'm having a seriously annoying problem with photoshop. Basically, when I come to type in the text, it comes out too big. I've got it set on 8pt and it's coming out more like 18pt. I tried resetting all tool presets and it worked, briefly, but it happened again. I managed to fix it again and guess what? It's back. It goes away and just keeps coming back.
Any ideas?

Maybe the standard zoom is the matter?
 Magnifier-tool-error or something...?

No, it's not the zoom. I made sure of that to make sure I wasn't being stupid. But anyway, even zoomed in you can see it's far too big. Essentially, what's happening is that the text is coming out 3 sizes too big.

Did you try it with a different font?
