I agree, this just proves how innovative and original games used to be before. I mean, there are gems to be found today, too, don't get me wrong, but the absolute deluge of fantastic games back in the nineties and before was just unbelievable... |

![]() I have the latest version of Dosbox but the game does not run, it exits after displaying who the game is registered to (myself as that part worked).
Anyone know what specific settings to use with Dosbox? - ive tried adjusting them but nothing seems to work. The game runs fine in XP but with no sound, but i would rather use dosbox so i can play it in a window rather than fullscreen. Cheers. |

![]() This is not to think of the later Roman Venus - the goddess of beauty... This is the fat Venus, the goddess of fertility, the Mother Earth if you will. She can bless the tribe as well (at a temple once you reach it). It a way it contributes to gathering food (not hunting) and it also raises the spirits of the tribe.
The tribe's members who aren't out hunting are gathering plants - and same as hunters are more successful after finding a hunting blessing, so are the gatherers after finding the Venus blessing. |

![]() You might want to check out the official DosBox FAQ, and particularly this part of it. It is quite helpful for users unfamiliar with DosBox.

[/b][/quote] I just used the DFend front end and accepted all defaults when creating the dosbox profile for this game (I'm on XP w/ATI card) and it worked like a charm. |

![]() You have to watch the orange level bar as well (next to the face). That one shows how much influence you have on the tribe. To keep that one high you should carve a statue or have a feast every now and then (the two buttons under the hunting and training buttons on the right).
