The server is a guy, if it was a gal it would be called servress, duh.
Abandonia+AR have their own server which isn't used by any other site, right? So it can't be the hosting provider?

It was slow for me as well this morning, but right now in working fine.
Is it fixed already? or maybe is because there is little traffic at this hour?

I'm experiencing this problem even with other sites and with every browser (IE, Mozilla, Opera, SeaMonkey...)

Sorry for the late response. Seems that one of the servers (not abandonia) in the hosting provider's network is being under a DDOS attack, and it slowing down the entire network. Since Abandonia is a part of it, it is affected as well. Whoever is doing this attack is very persistent though so its not loosening up. I've emailed the provider several times, they say they are looking into it. We can all just sit and wait for it to be resolved. I'm sorry about it, and trust me, I'm just as annoyed as you are, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it....

 At least we have a better idea of what's going on. Right now I feel like sueing the attackers' guts out, but I guess waiting will have to do
