if you want a GIF do not use "dither" when you have just few colours and no gradients. the dither is a technique that "pixelates" gradients so that they can be "simulated" with very few colours.
for colourful pictures I would always recommend JPEG. I really wonder why everyone likes PNG so much. The only thing PNG is good for is hightcolour images with transparency - but hardly anyone uses it ... so ... |
