![]() Would it be illegal for Abandonia to earn revenue by selling custom CDs, pre-burned, of abandoned games selected by users? For example, charge a fixed price, say $15, for a 650mb disc; leave it up to the user to choose how they want to allocate that 650mb, and then burn & mail it. This may be a good choice for people who are still stuck on slow connections, but I'm not sure how legal it is -- if the companies that made the game don't exist anymore, it seems like it should be okay.
With increasing bandwidth speeds and lower costs of hosting, this may be unnecessary, but it might be nice if the owners of Abandonia could be rewarded for the great things they've done. |
