![]() That's a though one. There's no way known to me that will allow you to lock the computer without showing that screen. You could try setting the screensaver to 'blank' and at a time of 60 secs or so (with a password). That way the screen will go blank and the 'This computer is locked and in use' screen will be invisible. However, that will not prevent you nemisis from pressing the power-button on the pc.

![]() Unless you can find a program or some way disable the power on/off button from the motherboard I don't think you got any luck... altho you could always open up the pc and remove the plug yourself... takes 5 secs if you got your manual telling you where it is

![]() I remember there is a way to disable the OS jumping back to the Welcome Screen after a period of user inactivity.
But, could you tell us who and - more importantly - where does that? |

![]() I have one solutions.
1.Hide the logged on meesage on the welcome screen. (I'll search for one). Logically if we can find a prgram its the only good way to do it if you disable the power button how do you turn the system on.If you stay at the computer it will get annoying because you may be hungry or somthing like thatand thats why you leave the computer in the first place. |
