I suppose it's sort of similar to those 200-year-old bottles of burgundy which are sold at auctions. They're worth a bloody fortune, but no-one would ever dream of opening one to try what the wine actually tastes like. And that's probably a wise decision.
Although of course the wine would have tasted nice at
some point, whereas the C64 game might have been crappy to begin with... LOL
