Default [MrFlibble] Stalker 1: Path of Fire

The following is recalled from my childhood of playing shareware games in the mid-90's, so the details are a bit hazy. I've searched high and low for this game to no avail, though in the process I did rediscover a few other fairly obscure games like Risky Woods and Electro Man.

Firstly, the game had a very dark, violent tone. The menu selection icon may have been a skull or a machine gun. You played a sort of Rambo-like character in a post-apocalyptic wasteland environment with grotesque mutants (they were either mutants or demons, I think). My clearest memory of the game is an underground stage with gruesome monster heads sticking out of the ground like tumors.

I seem to recall that when you quit the game, it would display some artwork of giant mutant mosquitoes or the like, along with preview screens for the full version.

The visual style is somewhat similar to Blackthorne, though probably with rougher animations.

Happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thanks!
