The debate of "emulators versus old hardware" can be compared to "MP3 of an old record versus the gramphone disc on a turntable".

- emulation is rarely 100% accurate
- yet having everything in physical format is for serious collectors only, as it's more expensive, requires more storage space, proper handling etc.
- however it allows for celebrating the real old items and how they were used
- at the great cost of wearing them down (playback devices and medium)

So there are drawbacks on both sides.
