Found it
here (there's lots of old shareware on that site), and it is indeed by Sorcerer Software, but not for the MS-DOS platform as the happypuppy page suggests. It's a Win32 game wrapped in a Win16 installer, so I guess intended for Win9X. Maybe it will work on more modern Windows with some compatibility settings...
