I don't get this, really. I didn't like the idea of a Beth Fallout either, but then I actually went and played it. It was Fallout all right, just from a different viewpoint. New Vegas even more so, with so many things tieing in to FO2. You are the guy in the wasteland, you have your guns, you have the VATS, you have the random encounters and secrets, and the general feel of the old Fallout games. It is fallout, just the next generation.
I love the first two, they deserve their place in the hallowed hall of fame with the others, but FO3 and New Vegas were worthy successors, too. As for Van Buren (and the FO MMO), what's left of Interplay is so deep in the gutters, that I wouldn't even trust them to create a working toilet paper roll.
