There are other games in the series including the recently released Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.

Ys Origin is the prequel to this game and it is set 1000 years before the events of Ys I (Ancient Ys Vanished) and some of the bosses from Ys I appear first in Origin. The sequel is Ancient Ys Vanished - The Final Chapter.
