It would be great if the forum search function was more visible (in particular not a drop down, it is a basic function after all ) I'm unobservant and have no excuse for missing it, but new users who are notorious for not using this have even less of a chance of finding it than I did.

To quote Kosta himself when he implemented the chat box:
"And I like the fact that the dropdown menu is hard to find. It's like an extra to those who have the patience and are methiculous enough to find it."
I however have no oppinion on either it is a good or a bad thing.
