Should you ever being scanned and there would be duped / hacked items detected on your account, this is the range of the punishment, first lowest, last the worst:
1. Hacked / duped items will be deleted
2. You character wearing such items will be deleted.
3. Your entire account will be deleted
4. Your serial key will be permanently banned from entering battle-net
