Did you read my post, only two posts above? Also you can delete the already existing characters if the first temple where you're starting a new game. Simply click on one of the icons in the menu for deleting characters, and you can choose whom. Of course it's best to delete all of them as they should have been in the first place. Somebody seems to have forgotten to remove not only the savegames but also own characters...
