There are two ways of dealing with that:
1 - As people before me said, you need to convert them and that might not be easy... I tried it before and completely gave up because it takes too much time to convert and there is some loss at the conversion process. And, sometimes my computer crushed at 70 / 80% - just for the record, (I tried several softwares a couple years ago, from TMPGEnc to AVI2DVD - check the URL=http://www.afterdawn.com]http://www.afterdawn.com[/url] forums as they have guides to convert these kind of stuff) a conversion done with TMPGEnc can last about 20 hours with settings for "minimum loss". So you can imagine how annoying that was.
2 - The easiest solution - not the cheapest: I suppose these "mpeg" you refer are "DIVX"... So buy a new DVD player, one that can read DIVX (it will read normal mpeg too) :whistle:
