I know that Data had some plan for repacking all the game archives on the site. My suggestion is that the files can be self-extracting 7-Zip archives. This would decrease download size (maybe not too dramatically on the smaller games, but always), cut down the trouble regarding people not having the neccesary software for their unpacking AND, finally, make the extraction much simpler for those utter computer noobies that pop around from time to time.
