[Fruit Pie Jones]

I'm not a huge fan of either, but I voted for anime. The best anime title I've ever seen (and there aren't many, admittedly) is The Wings of Honneamise. I like it because it's pretty down-to-earth (that may or may not be a pun) and does not contain one single scene, if you can believe it, in which two guys with goofy hair and eyes the size of CDs lay waste to several square miles of countryside in an all-out psychic grunt-battle.
