Well i have died two times, or one dunno...

First one was when i born, cause i was strangled by my umbicial cord. Hehe no crie .

Second time was when i was about 3 or 4, we went on a holiday in some lake or something, and i drowned there, luckily i only dropped from the bridge so i was quickly rescued.

So i beat your record? Exept for tha one year part.
Probably you didn't die on these events, just lost consciousness. <_<

Puffin. what happened to your grandfather to make him a medical miracle?

Nothing exicting has happened to me medically, I've been alive all my life and I've never broken a bone.

Something about his heart. I was only 5 years old, I don't remember exactly... But it had something to do with most of the vains clogged and usually it would mean sudden death. But he survived. Although I'm not sure EXACTLY what happened... Something like that....

I've never broken a bone either.... But I fell off a horse and damaged my ass-muscle and have to have a surgery when I have time... :not_ok:

Well, actually the illness came from playing with insects - I love nature, animals and insects. As I was small, I watched the insects all the time and took them in hands too, of course. Someday it started then. One fine day I began to twitch from time to time, sometimes really hard. It became worse with every day and I had to be transported to a hospital. There the twitches stopped, but the illness just began. I was losing my strength every week more and more and had very high temperature also. My mom fighted for me the entire time through.
Well, then some medic put wrong diagnose and they made me an injection of something... During the process I caught another infection yet, so my state became really dangerous. And then at the evening I died.
My mother told me she rubbed in some thing on my entire skin, called Spiritus in German (found no translation in English). Well, I'll let out the details, but she managed it to get me back to life...
The illness then endured around 5-6 months yet, but I was getting better slowly. The medics told I shouldn't make sport for quite some time then (no idea why), but now I'm sportly again.
The name of the illness is by the way Miningo Encefalitis, or Miningithis, shall you be able to know it.
It can be compared to that sickness of the cows (if you know it) in some ways, so I guess I was supposed to die... <_<

Yeah I know that illness.....

to raise your moral, I'll give you a quote by a old prof of my school:

"At my times, when someone became ill of meningithis, he died or became stupid. I haven't died."

And he didn't become stupid. But you were lucky Freddy, last year quite some children in Italy died of that illness.

Wow, it's even such spread and often occuring? There seem to be quite some illnesses that are still dangerous enough despite all those "achievements" of the medicine...
