![]() Just create a folder with ONLY 8 letters, like landslore, place the game in it, mount the folder and play the game. If you're operating in DosBox with a folder that has more than 8 letters, you can see only 6 letters of it, following with ~ and a number, but the number is always different. So it's better to use folders with only 8 letters for games that are to be played in DosBox.

![]() Ok I am half way following what you mean... I made a folder in my documents titling it LandLore, and copied all the game files into that file, now though i'm still not sure how to use DOS to get this to work. I'm typing in:
C C:\LandLore But nothing happens other than the same msg I have been getting this entire time.... it doesn't exist. |

![]() If you mean DosBox, and not Dos, then:
mount c c:\landlore c: lands.exe (or lolcd.exe with CD version of the game) |

The path you must give the mount command to use needs to be a real path to a directory on your hard drive. "My Documents" is not equivalent to your C drive. |

![]() Ok I tried changing user to owner and nothing changed, and i'm not tech savvy enough to know what your talking about, horseman. But if its the C drive its supposed to be reading, even if it says its reading off that in the status window, why in the actual input window does it say: "Z:\>"?

Path = the adress where the file or directory is located on your drive. Like C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Something_or_other.txt Quote:
Also, if you still have problems with mounting the game directory... well, I suggest you read this part of Beginner's Guide |
