Being a fan of the Apple II version, noticed a couple things.

1) Your oil leaks way too easily. The AA gunners are too accurate and do too much damage. At a full speed dive usually the gunners don't hit at all in the original game--in this one they usually have your oil leaking after a single pass. The accuracy needs to be decreased. AA gunners also rarely score hits in mid-altittude, but in this you need to be at high altittude.

2) No Japanese torpedo planes (it's spelled "torpedo" too). After awhile a red arrow shows up signaling that a plane's going to make a torpedo run.

3) When destroying an AA emplacement, if the emplacement is at the corner of the island then the soldiers always run away from the shoreline and into a nearby AA emplacement. In this game they are seen running towards the shore and doubling back.

4) Infantry dies when you crash your plane into them. Another tactic in the original, if you plane was about to die you'd crash it into a bunch of people--one of the more satisfying aspects of the game.

5) Loops make the game harder to play--controls are a lot more complex with the loop, and it changes how dogfights would play out (keep turning until the other guy bugs out).

Brings back memories though. Nice job overall.

PS (powerful is spelled with a single "l")

?verytime I try to start they game, it says that it's missing a certain DLL file. I use Win98, could that be the reason? Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Ack, please ignore. I was responding to an earlier post and didn't see the subsequent three pages of posts.
