All goblins games and some other adventure titles (All lucasarts games of course, and more) also (such as Kyrandia) work perfectly on SCUMMVM. It's free to download and works way better than DosBox.

I have an original version of Gobliins lying here (a double-CD from the "Sierra Originals" series, which also includes Gobliiins 1), but I can't get the game to run under DOSBox

Here's what I basically did:
- created a directory d:\games\gobliins
- created a directory d:\games\gobliins\install
- copied all GOB2-files from the CD-ROM to the \install directory
- in DOSBox: mounted the \install directory as CD-ROM drive (virtual drive d:\)
- in DOSBox: mounted the d:\games\gobliins directory as c:\
- in DOSBox: went to d:\ and ran "go.bat"
- went through the install procedure, installing the game to c:\COKTEL\GOBLIINS\
- in DOSBox: set audio settings to 220, 7, 1
- in DOSBox: went to c:\COKTEL\GOBLIINS
- in DOSBox: typed GOB2.bat + <enter>

This resulted in the screen going totally black.

Some additional info: I set cycles to 3000, memory size = 16, XMS and EMS are enabled and the \install directory is mounted at all times (when I unmount it and try to run the game, I get an error "Unknown error -100" or something like that).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh, by the way, using DOSBox 0.71 and both Gobliiins 1 and Goblins 3 run perfectly with the settings described above... all three games run perfectly under ScummVM, but I pretty much prefer to have only one single emulator from which I can run *all* my games...

Gobliins 2 is not protected anymore and so downloadable again.
